About this policy

This policy explains how PDF Maker – Image to PDF (“the app”, package com.pdfmaker.mergepdf) handles information. The app is designed to work entirely on your device.

What we collect

Nothing. The app has no account system, no advertising, no analytics or crash-reporting services, and no internet permission, so it cannot send data off your device.

It does not collect, upload, store on any server, or share your documents, images, passwords, signatures, recognized text, extracted information, or any other personal data.

Files on your device

File access is optional and is only requested after you tap “Allow access” on a screen that explains why.

Permissions

PermissionWhy it is usedAndroid versions
All files accessList documents from every folder on Home; rename or delete them when you ask.11 and newer
Read storageList documents on Home.12 and older
Write storageRename or delete files from Home when you ask.10 and older

The app does not request internet, camera, location, contacts, microphone or phone permissions.

Data stored on your device

To work properly, the app keeps a small amount of information only on your phone:

You can clear this anytime in Settings → Clear recent files and Clear temporary files. Uninstalling the app removes all of it. PDFs, images and other files you create are saved where you choose and stay under your control.

Document scanner

Scanning uses Google’s ML Kit document scanner, which runs inside Google Play services on your device and returns only the pages you scan to the app. Google Play services is provided by Google and covered by Google’s Privacy Policy.

Text recognition (OCR) and key information

Text recognition and extraction of dates, amounts and invoice details are performed entirely on your device. Images and recognized text are never uploaded.

Security

Because your documents never leave your device, they stay protected by your phone’s own security. Passwords you enter to open or protect a PDF are used only for that action and are not saved.

Children

The app is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from anyone.

Changes to this policy

If the app’s data practices change, this page will be updated and the “Last updated” date above will change.
